Health & life insurance for the self-employed
Coverage for the people who count on you, chosen with someone who knows the options.
We help freelancers, business owners, and their families compare private health plans and life insurance from several carriers, then stay with you after you enroll.
Who we work with
Most of our clients don't have an HR department.
When you work for yourself, choosing coverage falls on you. We do the comparison work and explain it in plain language.

Consultants, creatives, realtors, and anyone whose income comes from their own work.
Small business owners
Owners who need coverage for themselves and their families, apart from any group plan.
1099 & contract workers
Independent contractors, drivers, tradespeople, and travel professionals moving between jobs.
Households above the subsidy line
Families who earn too much for Marketplace tax credits and want to see every option available.
Health insurance
Private health plans for individuals and families
Private, medically underwritten plans can be a strong fit for healthy self-employed people and their families. We compare plans side by side and walk you through what each one actually covers.
- Doctor and hospital networks checked against the providers you already see
- Deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket limits explained in plain numbers
- Prescriptions reviewed before you choose a plan
- Coverage for the whole household on one plan or several
- A yearly check-in at renewal to see if your plan still fits
Private plans are medically underwritten. Eligibility, rates, and approval are decided by the insurance carrier.

What's the difference between a private plan and a Marketplace plan?
Marketplace (ACA) plans can't consider your health history, and they offer tax credits to households under certain income levels. Private plans are medically underwritten, so the carrier reviews your health history when you apply.
For healthy people who don't qualify for a subsidy, private plans are often worth comparing. We'll help you see both.
I earn too much for a subsidy. What are my options?
You can still buy a full-price Marketplace plan, and you may also qualify for a private plan. We compare the two on monthly cost, deductibles, networks, and prescriptions so you can decide with real numbers.
Can you cover my spouse and children too?
Yes. Include everyone in your household on the quote form. Some families end up on one plan; others do better with separate plans for different members.
When can I apply?
Marketplace plans have an open enrollment period each fall, with special enrollment after life events like losing other coverage, moving, or having a baby. Private plans can usually be applied for any time of year, subject to the carrier's approval.
How much life insurance do I need?
It depends on your income, debts, mortgage, and what you'd want covered for your family, such as childcare or college. We'll go through those numbers with you and suggest a range, along with term and permanent options at different price points.
Which states do you serve?
We're based in Florida and licensed in all states. We work with clients by phone and video, so you can work with us wherever you live. Plan availability varies by state and ZIP code.
Can I work with you in Spanish?
Yes. Every conversation, from your first quote through enrollment and renewal, can be in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.
Is my information kept private?
We use what you share only to prepare your quotes and contact you about them. We don't sell your information.
